Hello!   I want to welcome you to Mississippi State University – Meridian.  We are a campus located in Meridian Mississippi where we serve a twelve county region in Eastern Mississippi and Western Alabama.  Our campus is unique in that we offer classes to those who want to follow through on what they have started.  What do I mean by follow through, you may ask?  Just as in any sport, baseball, golf, basketball, tennis, etc, follow through is what distinguishes those who achieve success from those who don’t.  Since we only offer courses at the junior and senior level (and Master’s and Specialists degrees) we enable students to follow through on what they started at our sister community colleges. I have always noticed that success in any activity always begins with how you follow through.  At Mississippi State University – Meridian, let us help you follow through to a life filled with success!  Call us today.

My Best Wishes to you always,

Jack Tucci, Ph.D.
Dean and Executive Director, MSU-Meridian

Arts and Sciences: The Division of Arts and Sciences plays an essential role in preparing our education graduates who make up the majority of our students by providing content courses in history, math, and English for example. The Division has a long-established Social Work program accredited by the Council for Social Work Education. In addition, A&S offers Psychology, Communications, and two Interdisciplinary degrees. The Bachelor of Science Interdisciplinary and General Liberal Arts degrees are particularly well suited to non-traditional students who are the bulk of our student population.

Business & Industry: The Division of Business and Industry has achieved much success in recent years due to the hard work of the faculty. Industry has reported many positive things about our graduates meeting their demands of being well prepared and capable business graduates. The faculty has had much success in maintaining their currency by publishing many peer reviewed articles in well respected journals. Students report that the addition of the new faculty has increased the challenges they face at every level and they feel confident they are ready and prepared for their future.

We also offer programs for persons to become Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and for those who want to teach or become administrators in community colleges. Day, night, weekend, and online courses are available for some of the program requirements. All programs are accredited by regional and/or professional associations.
