Inside of Newberry

The Mississippi State University-Meridian Division of Business began operations during the fall semester of 1972 with the approval of the Meridian campus as a degree-granting institution by the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

The Division of Business was located in Hardin Hall on the Meridian Community College campus from 1972 to 1993. In August, 1993, the Division of Business moved to the newly dedicated College Park campus on the picturesque 26-acre property adjacent to Highway 19 North and College Drive in Meridian.

In January 2012, as the result of the generous contributions by The Riley Foundation, Mississippi State University, the City of Meridian, and so many others, the Division of Business moved to downtown Meridian to be housed in the historically renovated Newberry building just next to the MSU-Riley Center.
