A Greenhouse for the Community
Dr. Fogarty has big plans for the greenhouse at MSU-Meridian. Not only does it serve the purpose for his biology classes, but as a community garden for Love and Peas, it will also provide vegetables for the MCC's Culinary program.
The Phil Hardin Foundation Library
Students enjoy the new Phil Hardin Foundation Library, that opened in November 2013, thanks to a $1.25 million gift from the Meridian-based Phil Hardin Foundation. Melanie Thomas, Associate Professor and Information Specialist is shown helping a student look up an article.

Social Work Students Shine

Teaching The Teachers
Alexa Flaskamp signs in at student intern orientation. Alexa is currently doing her student internship at Union Elementary in 1st grade. In all, 36 elementary education interns, 2 special education interns and 8 secondary education interns are in area schools this semester. They will graduate this May.
The Downtown Campus of MSU-Meridian houses the MSU-Riley Center, the Division of Business and soon the Kress Building will be renovated for Kinesiology. Be sure to come and visit anytime if you haven't already.
Out-of-State Tuition Waiver
Pay the same tuition as Mississippi residents to attend MSU-Meridian. This represents a cost savings of approximately $10,000 a year.
