Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

Become a STEM teacher in just one year! Earn your master’s degree and teaching license through an alternate-route pathway designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a qualifying STEM field. Qualified applicants must pass the required content-area licensure exam, actively participate in the program and commit to teaching in a Mississippi critical shortage area.

Program Commitments:

  • Teach in a designated Mississippi critical shortage area for 4 years after graduation.
  • Participate in professional development, targeted training and community-based service projects.
  • Fellows who do not meet program requirements must repay funds received.
  • Tuition repayment is reduced 25% per year of completed service.
  • Stipend repayment is reduced 50%.

Participants in the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program receive $2,625 in tuition assistance and a $250 book stipend each semest er, along with $130 for licensure exam reimbursement and $150 toward National Board Certification training. Fellows also earn a $10,000 annual teaching stipend for each year of successful service, for a total of up to $40,000 over four years.
