Master of Arts in Teaching

The Division of Education offers the following two degree programs for students who did not major in education in their undergraduate degrees:


Master of Arts in Teaching major in Community College Education

This degree is designed for students who would like to teach in community college settings. Part of the degree requirements are selection of a concentration area and completion of 18 graduate hours in the concentration area. An internship in a community college setting is also required.


Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education (alternate route) Program

This degree is designed for students who would like to teach in middle and high school settings. Part of the degree requirements are selection of a concentration area and completion of an internship in a middle or high school setting.
